You will soon find here the documentation about how to setup a WRT54GL with OpenWRT and Wifidog and how to have it join our network of free hotspots.
Our group’s choice of a Linux distribution to use on the routers we have is OpenWRT. It has been around for long enough and the major reason that we us it is because WiFiDog? was written for it. It is quite possible that other distributions are better, faster, etc but OpenWRT does the job for now. I would like to say that we are open to suggestions.
OpenWRT can run on any router that is included in this list. If you own one of these router and it has the necessary requirements it can most likely run WiFiDog and you can easily become a hotspot. So far our group has experienced and experimented with Motorola WR850G and WRT54G.
